About Us

TackleBox Films was launched in 2003 by Owner and Director Shaun Silva in Nashville, TN. An award-winning music video, commercial, and documentary filmmaker, Silva became well-known for helping launch the successful careers and lifestyle brands of country superstars Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts and many more through captivating music videos and network specials. On the documentary and commercial side, he directed such hits as the Geico Caveman ads and numerous ESPN Films including the EMMY nominated 30 for 30, The Irrelevant Giant.

In 2013, TackleBox Films launched its reality TV division and has since brought that same success to the non-scripted world. As its primary focus, the reality TV division is currently producing for both traditional networks and emerging digital platforms. As TackleBox Films moves forward into this ever-changing landscape, our team of creatives look forward to bringing its storytelling roots and distinctive cinematic touch to each and every project we produce!

Growing up on the West Coast, Shaun Silva spent his first 11 years in the thick of the Entertainment Industry, Los Angeles, California with a focus on commercial spots and music videos.  A successful run of #1 music videos in the late 90’s inspired Silva to move to Nashville in 2001 where shortly after he founded TackleBox Films.

For nearly 20 years, Silva’s Directing and Producing ambitions have helped grow the TackleBox Films’ brand into a premiere facility. The result is a diverse resume of projects from Theatrical and Network released concert Films and Specials, Documentaries for ESPN Films, including the Emmy nominated 30 for 30 The Irrelevant Giant, to original unscripted shows for DIY, Rated Red, and Audience Channel.
